Now that Mothers Camp is over, we are getting ready for another retreat group this weekend. Our weekends are booked until mid-November and that's a good thing. The weather is still very warm and it really doesn't feel like fall. Send us your news.
Elizabeth Acomb and Adele Humphreys are busy applying for colleges. Adele has been accepted into Alabama and is also applying to Ole Miss, TCU and SMU. Elizabeth has been accepted at Ole Miss and will probably go there next fall.
Laney Abernethy had a friend visit her and they made clothes for her Littlest Pet Shop toys. She is really looking forward to camp next summer.
Hayley Greenspan in enjoying middle school. She is on a competitive cheerleading squad and tumbling up a storm. She still misses camp and wonders if that feeling will ever go away. We hope it never goes away, Hayley, those memories are priceless.
Hely Forrester is taking five AP classes and is enjoying her senior year. She sent us a copy of a paper she had to write in AP English about someone who influenced her life and she wrote it about Katy Sorkow. It was wonderful ~ thanks, Hely.
Brittany Silvers sent us a great picture of her at her last horse show. Brittany and her horse, Sirrak, got two thirds in her class. Way to go, Brittany!
Kathryn Schmitt, Alyssa Dahman, and Courtney Abbott are on the McMeans JH Volleyball team. Kathryn celebrated her birthday at her house and Taylor Green and Courtney Abbott were there. Elisa Schmitt had a choir program at her school and sister, Kathryn, sang a solo. Elisa also sang and we hear it was beautiful.
Mariana Estrada is doing great in school and will transfer to Monterrey next year. She misses camp and wanted to tell everyone hello (no, I have not seen your tennis shoes, Mariana).
Jill Hickman signed the papers and now is the proud owner of a new home. She is very excited and we will see her soon for Ellie's wedding.
Sara McGanity is loving life in Washington, DC in her new job.
Stacey & Lacey Parker are having a great school year. They love their students and hope the school year continues to be good for them.
Ashley Inglet is still recovering from her broken leg and manages to get around on crutches. She will be student teaching in the spring and hopefully her leg will be much better by then.
Susan Hoover came by this weekend and is doing great. There are lots of renovations going on at Casa Bonita and she came up to check on her cabin.
